Seashore SJC 2021-22 Campus Schedule
Monday: Conversational Spanish
We will learn how to listen, speak and write in Spanish. How to communicate on a basic level using common phrases, vocabulary, and quotes. How to ask for directions, how to order food or shop in a store, for example.
Tuesday: Math and Numbers
We will be learning how to count and work with numbers in Spanish.
We will also go over fundamental concepts in regards to how much something costs. Being able to figure out if an item is greater than, less than and equal to. We will practice how to pay for something in Spanish.
We will learn how to listen, speak and write in artistic concepts such as paint, drawing, pictures, photography. We will learn how to:
Step 1: Introduce the artist
Step 2: Observe the artwork
Step 3: Draw details from memory
Step 4: Talk about the message
Step 5: Write your observations
Being able to talk about Spanish food will come in handy while shopping, dining, traveling, and entertaining friends. Learn Spanish vocabulary for food, beverages and ordering. We cover everything from fruits and vegetables to wild game and beverages.
Learning Spanish through songs is an extremely powerful way to get words and expressions to stay in your mind long-term. Just like we all get songs stuck in our heads, we put that to good use and use it as a learning tool to improve language retention. We’ll listen to songs and break them down to understand their meaning behind the lyrics.
